Last week at work someone took my keys.
I didn't realize this until I was leaving, at about 12:30am in the morning.
I was locked out of my car and my apartment until the following day-
Jaime drove up to Denton with a spare car key and saved me.
Yep. My sister; my little pregnant sister.
She's 4 months along now. How 'bout that?... aunt Jessie in May.
God, I can hardly believe it.After finals next week we're flying to Arizona. Days later we will leave and drive my new* car back home to Texas.
This of course means driving through the desert in winter,
which of course means bliss.
I still don't know what happened to my keys.I'm kind of into poems right now. Poems like Pablo Neruda's Ode to Salt, and the poetry of Naomi Shahib Nye and Sherman Alexie.
Also, read Gabriel Garcia Marquez's short story "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings" to get your daily dose of magical realism.
